WINNER!
My Grandad’s Blog
This should be hilarious if I can make him post more often. Anyway check it out. He’s really funny, and knows only enough about computers to buy fiddles off of eBay so he can play bluegrass every morning. His spelling and punctuation isn’t the best when using a keyboard either. LOL. But he’s cool. He’ll make you laugh.
unplugged
last night refuge held an event called unplugged. it’s just a time where you hang with your friends, listen to music, and play board games and stuff like that. very relaxed. it was really cool. i felt like i got to know people more than just saying hey before church and bye afterwards. just chillin’ with friends. it was awesome. even though i stink at blurt. have y’all ever played that game? someone reads a card with a question on it like “what is the name of a fuzzy bee that hums?”, and whoever answers first, moves their piece forward. sounds pretty easy, huh? that’s what i thought. i did not move my piece until everyone was almost back at start! although i did make a really good come back and placed third. anyway, i had a great time. i’m going to miss refuge so much these next couple months!
y’all still haven’t got my riddle?

Outreach
I went to St. Bernard on an outreach with Refuge Saturday. We had like a resource center for all the people affected (Or is it effected? I never can remember.) by the hurricanes. We had bathroom supplies, snacks, meals, and stuff like that. It was crazy seeing all of those people still without power months after the storms. We went through one neighborhood that was damaged really badly. There were cars on top of fences and there was even a house moved out of the ground (still on it’s slab!) into the middle of the road. I got a few pictures I’ll try to put up soon. I’m so glad that we were able to go work down there. PRC doesn’t allow people under 18 to help, so we were given a special privilege. It’s so amazing to see Christians come together like that to show Jesus’ love. Thanks to everyone in the military and PRC. You’ve made a difference in so many peoples lives.
And thanks to Miss Paula, OG, Bagelz, and Miss Lory for making it happen. Y’all are awesome.

yet another joke
stephanie’s comment made me think of another joke i heard…
there are two girls applying for a job at a book store. when they hand in their applications the secretary looks at the papers and sees that they have the same last name, the same address, the same birthday, and they look exactly the same, too. she asks them if they’re twins. they say that they’re not. how can this be?

Joke
If the Smith family has four boys, and each of those boys has a sister, how many kids do they have altogether?
The Last of the Driving Sessions
Yesterday was my last session- driving on the interstate!!! I was all worried about it, but my teacher didn’t force me to drive on the interstate at all. She let me try getting on it a few times, but we got right back off as soon as I wanted to. That made me feel so much better. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. After a while she asked me if I wanted to drive over the Mississippi bridge. I was surprised that she asked me that, but I said that I would like to.. So I did. It was so much fun; I’m so happy that I did it. Most people think that that would have been the hardest part, but for me, the hardest part was when she had me go down by LSU. Curves, pedestrians, bicycles, and college students looking at me like a was a freak. But I lived. That day was actually a great experience, which is what I prayed for right before I left that day. Thank you, God.

Driving Session 2
Today I drove around in a lot of traffic downtown and did a lot of merging and stuff like that. I was doing pretty good, but when I got close to home I started going off the road and taking huge fast turns without my blinker on. Made me mad. I was doing so good, then I got just a little distracted and then I was all over the place. Tomorrow I have a different instructor, and, on top of having to get used to another new person, I’m going to be on the interstate!!!!! :-O I just got done with this lesson and I’m already worried about the next. Well, tomorrow is my last session-THANK GOD!! Then I can practice with my parents supervision instead of all these strangers. I have a year before I have to take the physical driving test, so that gives me plenty of time. THANK GOD AGAIN!! Wish me luck.

Sleep Talker
When my mom gets into a deep sleep, sometimes she starts sleep talking. My dad has told us a few of the crazy things she’s said, but this one is the funniest…”You see those caterpillars? They’re selfish-especially the little green ones!”.
